Make a Difference. Every Day.
We are now looking for a new occupational therapist colleague for the Medicine Department at the Hospital in Trelleborg.
Your main placement will be in the Medicine Department, but your employment will be with the Rehabilitation and Support Unit (ROS). We care for each other and help out during periods of high workload and absence. Therefore, you should be prepared to step in at other departments and clinics. The advantage of this is that we all gain new insights outside our specialty, which also increases understanding of our colleagues' work situations.
ROS belongs to the area of outpatient clinics and rehabilitation medicine and works within the hospital's medical and primary care services as well as within the orthopedic services. At the Hospital in Trelleborg, there are four inpatient wards: Orthopedic Ward, Cardiology Ward, Neurology Ward, and Medicine Ward. We also have some outpatient clinics at the hospital. ROS consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, social workers, and rehabilitation assistants.
At the Hospital in Trelleborg, we are about 500 employees in various professional categories. We all contribute our expertise to all teams, which provides the best conditions for patients to receive the best person-centered care possible. We want you to work according to Region Skåne's values, which means being welcoming, proactive, and showing care and respect. At the hospital, we have a family-like atmosphere where everyone feels they have an important role in a multimodal team.
Do you want to work in a hospital with a rehabilitation team that supports, listens, and cares for each other? Then this is the right workplace for you. Our operations are characterized by care, flexibility, collaboration, and having fun together. We have many enjoyable activities such as after-work events and candy Fridays.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The main placement of the position is in the Medicine Department. The department primarily admits patients with multiple illnesses and lung patients. Many of these patients often have a significant need for home interventions. The occupational therapist's responsibility is to take anamnesis, map the patient's daily life and activity performance, conduct ADL assessments, and document in Mina planer and Melior. Contact with relatives, when the patient allows, is also important in the mapping process before discharge from inpatient care. The occupational therapist participates in the pulse (the department's daily briefing where all professions are present) where your assessment and holistic view of the patient are important to convey in the multimodal team.
In the mornings, the focus is often on discharges and updates in Mina planer. In the afternoons, mappings, assessments, documentation in Melior, and preparations for the next day are often carried out.
The rehab team in the Medicine Department consists of two occupational therapists, two physiotherapists, and one social worker. Within ROS, there is also a rehabilitation assistant who can assist as time permits.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed occupational therapist with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement. It is an advantage if you have several years of experience in inpatient care.
For the patient to have a safe discharge, it is important that you can make quick decisions, prioritize, plan, collaborate with others in the rehab team, and stay one step ahead as quick decisions about discharge are often made. Additionally, you have an easy time prioritizing and creating structure in your work. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.
In this recruitment, we work with ongoing selection. We warmly welcome your application!
